Snow showers found along a northwest to southeast line are tracking over the same areas this evening. A quick quarter to half inch of snow will make for potentially dangerous driving conditions, especially as temperatures drop this evening and overnight. Visibilities will also decrease to under a mile in some places, creating another hazard to area commuters. As of 8:00 this evening, this line runs roughly from Wapakoneta, to Bellefontaine. Another line extends from Delaware to Pataskala and then south to Baltimore. This includes the northeastern suburbs of Columbus. Special Weather Statement issued January 6 at 3:19PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH

After the snow comes to an end, some roads may remain snow- covered or slick through tonight. Some patchy blowing snow may cause snow to blow back onto previously-cleared roads, allowing for potential slick spots to linger longer than would otherwise be the case. Exercise caution if driving through tonight. Additionally, wind chill values around zero are expected tonight into early Wednesday morning. Bundle up in layers and avoid prolonged time outdoors, if possible.
