Ridge winds gusting as high as 75 mph. For Lake Tahoe: southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...In Montana, Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains. In Wyoming, Northeast Bighorn Mountains. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to midnight MDT Tuesday Night. * IMPACTS...Heavy accumulating snow and widespread blowing snow will impact recreation in the high country. Travel could be very difficult to impossible, especially along Highway 14 through the Bighorn Mountains.

Winds gusting as high as 30 mph. * WHERE...Bighorn Canyon, Southern Big Horn, Carter, Powder River, and Southern Rosebud. * WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to midnight MDT Tuesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could become difficult due to falling and accumulating snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The greatest snow accumulations will occur on grassy surfaces.

Winds gusting as high as 50 mph this morning. * WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heavy snow combined with strong winds will make travel treacherous and backcountry recreation potentially life-threatening. Expect a significant increase in avalanche danger. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will occur this morning, with winds diminishing after sunrise. Periods of moderate to heavy snow will continue into Tuesday morning.

Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches in the valleys and 3 to 6 inches over higher terrain. * WHERE...Gallatin and Madison County Mountains and Centennial Mountains. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Plan for winter driving conditions, including slippery roads and reduced visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of snow are expected through Tuesday morning, with the most impactful conditions expected this morning and again tonight into Tuesday morning. Any wet roads from melting snow this afternoon will refreeze and become icy again tonight.
