The Pilot Records Database (PRD) has been available as a beta since January 2017. PRD allows certain aviation employers such as those operating under FAR Parts 121 and 135 to review an aiman's FAA records online after an airman has granted consent via PRD. This review of an airman's records normally occurs during the hiring process as required by the Pilot Record Improvement Act of 1996 (PRIA). Is Your Flight Review Set to Expire, But You Can’t Fly With a CFI Because of COVID-19?
You may be able to extend your flight review grace period for up to three months by earning three WINGS credits. WINGS is the FAA’s Pilot Proficiency Program. You can get WINGS credits by going to FAASafety.gov.
