As temperatures continue to drop, take this time to check your heating system, water heater, furnace, and other electrical appliances that might have been damaged by Hurricane Helene. If your appliance isn’t working and isn’t covered by your insurance, you may be eligible to receive help from FEMA to repair or even replace it. Impacted individuals in Bedford, Bland, Carroll, Giles, Grayson, Lee, Montgomery, Pittsylvania, Pulaski, Russell, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise and Wythe counties and the cities of Galax and Radford are eligible to apply for assistance from FEMA to help with costs from damage and losses due to Hurricane Helene.
