* WHAT...Very cold wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero with air temperatures as cold as 20 to 30 below zero. * WHERE...Koochiching, Cass, Itasca, Central and North St. Louis, and Northern Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek, Nett Lake and, Lake Vermilion areas. Other locations including Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters is also included. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 11 AM CST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Maryland and southeast Virginia. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

Total snow accumulations of 2 to 12 inches are expected and snowfall is likely to be elevation dependent with lower amounts in Fairbanks. * WHERE...Fairbanks and Surrounding Hills. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 9 AM AKST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...1 to 2 inches of snow is forecast by Friday morning ahead of a rain and snow mix that begins by Friday afternoon. Periods of mixed rain and snow continue through Sunday morning before returning to all snow.

Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Lower Yukon River. * WHEN...Until 9 AM AKST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Potential for rain to mix in with snow. Minor ponding of water is possible. The strongest winds will be Thursday night through early Friday morning.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Central Interior. * WHEN...Until 3 AM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel is expected to become very difficult. Wet snow combined with gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain mixing with snow leads to heavy, wet snow that is difficult to clear and may result in tree damage. Locally higher snow amounts are possible at high elevations above 1500 ft where snow is not expected to mix with rain.
