IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Ennis and Palmer around 415 AM CDT. Cottonwood around 435 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Ike, Telico, Stubbs, Rockett, Crisp, Rosser, Lively, Bristol, Garrett, and Trumbull. This includes Interstate 45 between mile markers 252 and 265.

The combination of dry fuels, S-SW winds of 10 to 15 mph gusting to around 25 mph this afternoon, and relative humidity values dropping to 30 to 35% will result in an increased fire danger threat for the lower Maryland Eastern Shore. Residents are urged to exercise caution handling any potential ignition source...including machinery... cigarettes...and matches. Be sure to properly discard all smoking materials. Any dry grasses and tree litter that ignite will have the potential to spread quickly.

A combination of dry and windy conditions will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread across Northeastern Pennsylvania today. Minimum relative humidity will drop to between 25 to 35 percent and strong southwesterly wind gusts between 20 to 30 mph are also expected this afternoon. Some patchy freezing fog has developed across portions of Western and Northern Georgia overnight with visibilities between one quarter mile to 2 miles. Temperatures in these areas are currently at or just below freezing which when combined with the patchy fog poses a risk for a very light glaze of ice to develop on elevated surfaces through the early morning hours. Improving conditions are expected shortly after sunrise as temperatures rise. If driving, slow down, use low-beam headlights and leave extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
