Conditions across Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia will support an increased fire danger through Saturday. The risk will be greatest during the afternoon hours each day. For Saturday, the fire danger will increase further as critically dry fuels combine with west to southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts 25 to 30 mph and relative humidity values as low as 20 to 30 percent. These conditions could result in dangerous and erratic fire behavior.
