* WHAT...Extremely cold wind chills as low as 40 below expected. * WHERE...Municipality of Skagway, particularly along the Klondike Highway and near White Pass. * WHEN...Until noon AKST Friday. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if exposed to these temperatures. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Subzero temperatures have continued to fall, reaching below -10 Fahrenheit along the Klondike Highway on Thursday morning. Sustained wind speeds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph will cause dangerously cold wind chills through noon Friday. The coldest wind chills will be near White Pass.
