Disaster Recovery Centers in Aiken, Greenwood Counties Adjusting Operation Hours COLUMBIA, S.C. –The Disaster Recovery Centers in Aiken and Greenwood counties have adjusted the operating hours. The two Disaster Recovery Centers will be open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and closed on Sundays. DRC in Aiken County, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 17519 Atomic Road, Aiken, SC 29803 This center will be operating through Jan. 7. DRC in Greenwood County, United Way of Lakelands, 929 Phoenix St., Greenwood, SC 29646 This center will be operating through Jan. 31. Helene Disaster Recovery Centers to Temporarily Close Dec. 23 for Holiday Hickory, NC – In partnership with the state and local governments, 12 disaster recovery centers in Ashe, Avery, Burke, Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania and Watauga counties will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 for the holiday.  The centers will reopen at 8 a.m. on Dec. 27.  All centers will also be closed for New Year’s Day and reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2025.  To see the location of your nearest recovery center visit the DRC locator at fema.gov/drc. Two North Carolina Disaster Recovery Centers to Close Dec. 14 In partnership with the state and local governments, FEMA will close two Helene Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) as of 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.  The Jan. 7, 2025, deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is unaffected by the closures.
