Patchy areas of dense fog with visibility 1 NM or less is expected now through Thursday morning, especially for the nearshore waters. Fog should lift/clear an hour or two after sunrise. Mariners should be prepared for sudden drops in visibility. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for other vessels. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.

Total snow accumulations in excess of 8 inches possible. * WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, and Lake Counties. * WHEN...From late Thursday night through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...There is increasing confidence in a multi-day lake effect snow event off Lake Erie, beginning Thursday night. However, there still remains some uncertainty in the exact placement and timing of lake effect snow bands across the region and how quickly snow will taper off early next week. Any heavy lake effect snow bands will have the potential for 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates and poor
