As of 11:45 pm, radar and surface observations indicated snow was moving into the lakeshore region of southwest Lower Michigan. Webcams indicated that roads were becoming snow covered, especially along US-31 north of Muskegon and I-96 between Muskegon and Grand Rapids. The snow is forecast to track further inland and expand over the next couple of hours. The snow is forecast to diminish through the morning commute from west to east. Snowfall amounts in the 2 to 4 inch range are predicted with locally more possible in isolated spots. Motorists should be alert for low visibilities and snow covered roads.
