Periods of snow are expected to develop across the Northern Interior today and continue through Wednesday. Snowfall totals over the 3 day stretch of around 3 to 6 inches is expected. Expect lower snow totals from Livengood to Manly Hot Springs where snow will be more intermittent. Expect areas of blowing snow and low visibility along the Elliott Highway and over the Steese Highway Summits into Tuesday. Snow, heavy at times, is expected to develop from the Lower Yukon Valley to the Western Interior Monday through Thursday. The heaviest amounts are expected to be in the Nulato Hills and north of Galena. Snowfall totals over the 3 day stretch will approach 8 to 10 inches in the Middle Yukon Valley and 4 to 8 inches in the Lower Yukon Valley. Expect brief periods of blowing snow and reduced visibility. Periods of heavy snow will result in difficult travel conditions.
