Periods of heavy snow showers will bring an additional 3 to 5 inches of snow from Allakaket to Chandalar Shelf and south to around Gobblers Knob along the Dalton Highway through Saturday. This area includes Bettles and Coldfoot as well. The heaviest snow will fall on Friday afternoon and evening as another shortwave aloft moves over the area. Drivers can expect periods of low visibility and rapidly changing conditions along the Dalton Highway.
